The nanostructure makes hexogen or RDX ( (O2N2CH2)3). and TNT (C6H2(NO2)3CH3) so powerful explosives. The ring-shaped structure that you can see in the middle of the molecule conducts energy that travels from the edge of the molecule to the middle of the ring. There that energy reflects, traveling back through the molecule. And that thing makes those explosives so highly energetic.
In this text, I write about the RDX. But you can put the TNT in that place. The thing that makes RDX more powerful than TNT is the double bond between oxygen and nitrogen. There is also smaller resistance in energy flow that travels to the middle of RDX. So the pressure that impacts the ring in the middle of the molecule travels freely in that structure. And then it reflects from the middle of the ring. The RDX molecule will break faster. and that means the reflection will not face resistance.
There are only hydrogen atoms in the TNT ring. And that means it cannot stand for enough long time. That the energy will travel through the ring. That means the reflection will not be symmetrical when the shockwave travels in the middle of that ring. That decreases the TNT's power.
The RDX or hexogen is the most high-energy explosive in the world. That explosive is composed of hydrogen, nitrogen, and oxygen. Somebody asked me why that explosive is so powerful.
The answer for that thing is in the nanostructure. There is a nitrogen and oxygen ring in the middle of the molecule. And when the RDX starts to burn the energy travels from the edge of the molecule to the ring. When the reaction starts the chemical double bond between the nitrogen and oxygen starts to break. And then that string moves like a whip. It transfers energy to the ring in the middle of the molecule.
Another bond touches hydrogen or nitrogen. Then the "Y"-shaped atomic structure transfer energy to the ring in the middle of the molecule. The ring in the middle will transfer energy in the middle of it.
Then, the reflecting wave starts to travel back from the middle of the molecule. When the temperature decreases to +4 the RDX turns very easily explosive. The reason for that is that the molecule turns smaller if the free energy level rises. There is the possibility that the chemical bond of oxygen touches hydrogen. That thing starts a reaction.
Nanotechnology can make RDX even more powerful. In some visions, the ring inside the molecule will cut to the wrench-looking structure. That thing will aim energy in one direction. So in that case, energy travels straight through the molecule.
There is possible to make RDX molecules that form a series of 2D layers. And if those rings are in line they are forming tubes. If researchers want to make this explosive even more powerful they can put the pikes that are conducting energy in those tubes.
That thing can make RDX even more powerful. The ball-shaped molecule where that molecule ring forms a ball is possible to increase the power of the RDX.
In that case, the nitrogen and hydrogen atoms form a ball-shaped structure that makes the miniature vacuum bomb in that structure. The ball-shaped RDX molecule can give more power than regular RDX.
