Hydrogen is a good tool for thermobaric explosives. The hydrogen-oxygen mixture is a very high-explosive material. The problem with hydrogen is that the gas is so lightweight. The wind is always the problem with fuel-air explosives, FAE because it blows the explosive fuel mixture away. In some scenarios, terrorists use hydrogen thermobaric explosives to destroy targets. In those scenarios, the electrolytic system creates a hydrogen cloud. And then that hydrogen will fill the space and the system detonates it.

The problem is how to make the hydrogen cloud. And keep it so dense. That an explosion can happen. In some scenarios, the system releases hydrogen first into the balloon, and then the ignition system makes a hole in that hydrogen balloon and detonates.

The Chinese researchers used a solid-state compuóund called magnesium hydride to release very much hydrogen. The 2kg system creates a fireball with a temperature over 1000C. And, when we think about the other ways to use the hydrogen-air mixture as an explosive there is always the possibility of injecting oxygen and hydrogen into the tank. There the detonator can detonate that gas mixture.

There are many ways to make the hydrogen-oxygen mixture. Ammunition, that uses hydrogen can be two-chamber ammunition, normally used as chemical weapon carriers. The hydrogen creator, like sodium or some other alkali metal that creates hydrogen when it touches water, is in another chamber. And there is water in another tank. When water touches alcal metal, hydrogen is produced. And then. The ignition system ignites the hydrogen in that chamber.

The system can use very small alkali metal bites that maximize the surface which participates in the hydrogen creation reaction. The problem is that this reaction should create hydrogen very fast so that the hydrogen creator can create enough hydrogen for fast flying.

Another way is to use hydrogen and oxygen that are stored in the ammunition. When those gasses make a mixture in the grenade or bomb that can be used as normal explosives. Chinese solved the problem by using a metal alloy called magnesium hydride. That metal alloy delivers hydrogen very fast. These kinds of weapons are very dangerous because they are very easy to make.

Politics and planes

Politics and planes

The nuclear strike capacity is the most calculated firepower on the Earth and this kind of thing are the extreme reasons, why the number of certain aircraft like stealth-bombers and nuclear-capable stealth-attack planes is limited. The way of think in this kind of case is that if some nuclear force is too dominating, that thing would addict to "push the button", and that means that the nuclear strike force must have the opposite force.

And the idea is that the military threat, what is outside the borders keeps the military force busy, and that way to think keeps the world stable because of military rebellion would cause that foreign forces would start to attack against those troops because they want to eliminate that threat. So this might be the reason, why the military forces have not taken control of Russia or the USA during the Cold War era. But the thing is that public use of power is different than a covert way to control people.

When we are thinking about the nuclear strike capacity, the primary role of those weapons is to threaten other nations. The nuclear shield would attack every country's very uncomfortable idea and sometimes I have thought that the North-Korean nuclear weapons are like the gift from God for the USA and South-Korea, which would argue their passive attitude to that country by afraid of their nuclear power. So is there something, what is hidden from the public in that program?

The primary role in the traditional nuclear arsenal is the bombers and other aircraft. Idea is that when those planes are sent to mission, they can also call back, and if the military forces use the ICBM (Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles)-missiles or any other nuclear missile, there would be no way to call those weapons back, but the modern technology has changed that kind of operative way to think.

Miniature space shuttles can be used as the orbital version of FOBS (Fractional Orbital Bombardment System)

If we are thinking of the stuff like X-37B(1) and MiG-105 (2), those miniature shuttles are suitable for use as the orbital cruise missiles, which can be returned to Earth. They can send to the orbital trajectory, and if the situation requires the use of that kind of system, they can dive to target.

Sometimes both space shuttles NASA:s shuttles(3) and Soviet "Buran" (4)have been suspected to use as the FOBS (Fractional Orbital Bobardmanent System) (5)-bombers, what can send to the orbiter and equip with those miniature shuttles. That thing allows a very fast attack against targets. There are rumors that somewhere has been created the OBS (Orbital (or Fully Orbital) Bombardment Systems), what would be the satellites, what are equipped with conventional or nuclear bombs.

Sometimes it is suspected that Northrop-Grumman X-47B (6)has also some kind of space going version, which can be used as the stealth-version of those hypersonic missiles, which will send to orbital, and then they would attack against the targets or return to base if the mission doesn't require attack.

Hypersonic missiles are deadly even they don't have the warheads. The kinetic energy that has released while the weapon hits the target is extremely high. If the missile hits to aircraft carrier by the speed of Mach 8, that means that the aircraft carrier would vaporize in seconds. The nuclear weapon like hydrogen bomb can be taken in the cargo bay. Also, normal cruise missiles can refuel during the flight and artificial intelligence makes possible to return those weapons to base for service.

The new robot tankers might be meant for use with those cruise missiles. That kind of system might be the normal Tomahawk missile, what has wheels under them. The thing is that cruise missiles are drones, which are equipped with nuclear and conventional warheads.

So if we want to equip the drones like Predator with a nuclear warhead we could create the device, what can orbit above the battlefield and then explode their warheads. One suspected weapon, what might have this kind of system is X-47B, which can be equipped with the nuclear bomb, which can either drop to target or detonate internally.

This kind of system is highly classified, but those platforms would be suitable for that kind of mission. And the thing is that this kind of system can send to the attack by using various platforms. They can use regular runways, aircraft carriers or shoot to space with a rocket. And then those missiles or drones can dive to the target with hypersonic speed.

Helium 3 and the fusion with military solutions

Helium 3 and the fusion with military solutions

Helium 3 and nanocrystals are giving the possibility to create a new type of energy source, but also the development of the new type of nuclear weapons is possible if the researchers would get helium 3 in their hands. The difference between helium 3 and tritium is that the last one is the isotope of hydrogen.

The helium 3 can be used in nuclear fusion alone, but if researchers would want to use tritium, they must make fusion along with deuterium. The problems with that thing are the things, where we are returning later in this text.

The tritium has two neutrons and one proton in its nucleus, and helium 3 has two protons and one neutron in its nucleus. But tritium has one electron in the outer layer, which makes it act like hydrogen in chemical processes. That means the last one is very reactive gas.  Tritium is planned to use with deuterium what is hydrogen isotope with one neutron and one proton in its nucleus.

One of the most well-known ways to make fusion is to use deuterium and tritium. In this version, the high power laser ray would cause that the nucleus of those isotopes would start to melting to helium, but the thing is that material needs extremely high temperature. The fusion reactor is equipped with high-power magnets, what mission is to keep the fusion material without the touch of the wall of the reactor, what seems little bit donuts, and the magnetic accelerators would rotate and press cave in the extremely hot gas.

The contact with high-temperature plasma and the wall of the reactor would cause the melting the tube, where the plasma travels with extremely high speed, and the magnetic field would press the plasma ring with lasers to 40 million degrees of kelvin. The use of magnetic pressurizer is extremely important because none physical material would stand the heat without vaporizing.

The use of tritium and deuterium in the fusion is a very popular and long known way to create nuclear fusion, but the problem is that deuterium and tritium fusion needs 40 million kelvin degrees temperature. The production of tritium would happen by bombing the lithium-6 or deuterium with neutrons. The thing in the neutron bombing is that there is needed the neutron source, and that means that this process is needed the nuclear reactor, or sharply to say fission reactor.

That thing doesn't decrease the level of radioactive nuclear waste, and the need for fission and highly radioactive waste would also break the development of acting fusion reactor. But if we would think to use tritium in nuclear weapons, the problem is that this radioactive isotope exists only about eleven years. And that makes problems to store that isotope.

So if we would want to replace fission reactors with fusion reactors, we would need some other fuel source than lithium-6 or deuterium.  If the nuclear researchers would allow using helium 3, that would make possible to store that isotope in the crystals of plutonium. If in some hydrogen bombs is used the plutonium dust, what would drive together, that will make possible to create nuclear detonators, what power output is very sharply calculated.

The use of plutonium crystals would make bigger contact layer with fission material, and the helium 3 would make the increase of power. That crystal dust can drive together by using the detonators or simply the pressure bottle. Or in some scenarios, the plutonium dust would be equipped with the iron bite, which allows pulling those crystals in one bite, and then that will launch the nuclear fission. Those kinds of things are ever spoken when we are discussing the bringing helium 3 from the Moon to Earth.
