There is an interesting image in this text. The image contains drawings, where some other aircraft has been drawn inside P-47D "Thunderbolt" attack aircraft. This image has brought people's mind an idea, that "what if" USAF tried to create the capsule, what could be used to rescue the aircraft, what motor has been damaged, or another purpose of this thing would be an attempt to capture enemy fighters.

And idea was to create the aircraft, what would turn it form to the saucer. The structure would look like a handheld fan, and when this thing would be driven behind the targeted aircraft, it would open the fan, and take the targeted aircraft to the chamber, where it could not operate.

This system would also attempt to be installed to P-47D, but there is no reported success of this thing, what might be behind some "flying saucer" observations. There is no evidence, that this device was made even the maiden flight, but the fact is that USAF has tested the saucer-shaped flying machines. When we are thinking about the ability to capture other aircraft, that thing would give extremely good data about enemy systems.

During WWII the technology was primitive, and the thing, that somebody could capture flying aircraft was absurd. But modern high-tech systems like a jetpack and quadcopters with other drones are allowing to make possible to capture even the nuclear weapons from the flying aircraft. The system would act that some drone would cut the weapon rack away with a laser. 

And if there are cruise missiles in this rack, there could be a possibility, that some hostile actor would use the cargo plane, where the nose can open during the flight, and take those missiles inside the plane, by catching them to the cargo bay. Of course, the possibility of that kind of actions are really small, but modern technology brings new kind of threats. And one of the threats is that criminals are more civilized than ever before.

They know technology and things like EMP-bombs are new kind of way to enter secured buildings. When we are thinking about computer crimes, the bank directors can force to make transactions by using the same methods, what criminals have used many times before. But the thing is that modern technology gives law enforcement more tools to capture criminals. And modern technology allows criminals to keep contact together in more effective ways than ever before.
