More about moon base and helium 3
So the moon base would be created for helium 3 production, but there is vision, that maybe we should build the fusion reactor rather to Moon or some satellite, what would be positioned to the Moon orbiter or Lagrange point between Moon and earth, where gravity force would pull the particle to Earth and Moon with same force. This means that the particle would be in the same location without the need to fix the position.
The reactor would be the "torus" type circular reactor, what looks like a little bit donuts, and the energy would transfer to Earth by using laser- or maser ray, what will make possible to transfer very high energy levels from the space to the solar panels or radio antenna, what delivers the energy to the power network. The thing in the fusion reactor is that it will give very high power of energy, and if something goes wrong, there is a possibility, that reactor explodes as a hydrogen bomb.
So the system could be positioned to the Moon, where it can get enough fuel very easily. But the problem is the costs and international politics. Many people would see those things as the military base for high energy weapons, which can be used to support the new world order. The thing is that the fusion system, what is located on the Moon is very interesting, but at the same time frightening solution for solving energy problems of Earth.
The problem is that I don't know how long the helium 3 storage can satisfy the energy problems of Earth. The thing is that the dust of the Moon contains very much of this expensive gas, but the problem is that nothing stands forever. And if we would send high-energy microwave and laser bursts from the surface of Moon to Earth, there is a possibility that the Moon starts to move, and we don't know how much material we can take from the surface of the moon, without influence to tidal. The thing is that if the fusion reactor would operate on the Moon by using the remote control, that would solve many problems in the fusion technology.
If that system explodes there could be some influences, what we cannot even think about. The remote-controlled systems deny the need to send people to Moon, and that makes this kind of projects easier to accept. The remote-controlled, human-shaped robots can operate safely on the high level of radiation, and if something happens, those machines don't need funerals. But if on the Moon happens about 60 megatons nuclear explosion, that might cause problems for satellites and electronics around the world, and most of the problems caused by the EMP-pulse and the rain of small meteorites, what the radiation could push to Earth.
And those things can cause problems in telecommunication. But if the big bites of Moon would fly away, they can also hit to Earth. Those bites would fly to the Moon orbiter, and the very high temperature of the fireball makes sure, that there would not be straight debris to Earth. But the thing is that Moon could turn weaker because of bricks, and there could be also big bites, what starts to orbit the same trajectory with Moon. But the problem is that Moon lost its mass, and that can cause changes to tidal.
