Artificial intelligence and marketing are not toys
Modern technology has been given revolutionary abilities for marketing and other things like traffic control. The surveillance cameras, which are connected to computers can collect data of behavior of people in the market. They can find, what kind of merchandise is interesting people, and where people are staying, while they are in the market. Those systems can collect many types of data, and this is why their use must discuss more because computers can detect many things, what normal people don't even notice.
Artificial intelligence can collect data about clothes, what people are wearing when they are coming to the shopping center, and if those computers have access to the internet, they can calculate the average price of the clothes, what customers are wearing. They can search those prices from the internet, and this thing helps the price of the products.
And if the system has access to the computers of the security companies, they can search if some car has authority to park in some parking areas. If the vehicle is privately owned, it can uncover the real social position of the person, who owns that vehicle. This is what makes this kind of systems very dangerous because they can uncover things, what are interested in certain people. And if that information can compare with the information, what is collected from the other people, it can uncover if people have similar values, what some other people have.
I have written about this kind of things before, and the thing is that the data, what is collected from the behavior and interest of certain people like ice hockey fans or political radicals can use for comparing that behavior with other people. And this data can uncover if the person shares similar opinions with some political radical group. The idea of this kind of profiling is that the people who are taking part in the political radicalism are similar people with others.
And if we have some kind of opinions with some people, we might act like those people. This is the point in profile. Personality is entirety. and that entirety consists of things, what we are wearing, what we are reading, and what kind of movies we are watching. And if some uniform gangs are starting to hang in the front of some shop, there must be something, what interests those people.
So if some people are sharing their opinions with those gangs, they might have also interest in this kind of products. This might be a coincidence but if some person starts to visit simultaneously in the same shops and finger the same products and magazines with those gang members, those people might share their opinions with that gang.
Many times the leaders of the gangs or so-called kings are looking a little bit different with regular gang members because clean clothes are making them feel to be above their henchmen. And this thing is visible their wearing and other behavior. This kind of data would be very dangerous in the wrong hands. Even the system cannot recognize faces, it can recognize certain clothes.
