"Researchers have designed a single-photon time-of-flight LiDAR system that can produce high-resolution 3D images of objects and faces that are some distance away. The top images show 3D-printed pillars imaged from 45 meters away in broad daylight. The lower images depict a recognizable human face from a person 325 meters away. The new ultra-precise LiDAR technology scans objects through dust, smoke, and camouflage. The LiDAR or "laser radar" is the next-generation tool that can make traditional stealth technology useless. The light or coherent light reflects from most surfaces.
The answer against that technology is the network-based structure that can deny the reflection. The absorbing materials are vulnerable to directed energy weapons. The absorbing material ties energy into itself. And it turns very hot if it cannot dump energy somewhere. Any object cannot store unlimited energy levels.
If the energy level rises too high, the material melts. The entropy causes a situation in which the material turns soft and finally, it will be destroyed. If the material can dump energy out from it that decreases entropy in the system. But the system needs to put energy somewhere.
The optical scanner systems that are based on radar technology there the radio waves are replaced by optical wavelengths or coherent optical wavelengths that are immune against things like "chameleon camouflage".

The LiDAR technology is one of the fastest-advancing technologies in the world. The distances of 350 meters and 1000 meters are not the same as radar systems. However, developers can connect many other systems like visual CCD cameras, IR systems, and other things. And the LiDAR systems advancing.
This kind of system can scan also software objects like humans that are been difficult objects for traditional radars. The LiDAR system makes the 3D image of the target, and if that system is connected with the CCD cameras that technology makes it possible to create an ultra-realistic hologram of the target. The system can also make realistic 3D images of the person or any surface.
The LiDAR system can also be used to transmit information through the air. The scanning LiDAR can detect the right receivers and then send data to the sensor. LiDAR can detect objects using an indirect way. The system can detect how molecules move around the objects. Or the system can use frequencies that don't resonate hydrogen or oxygen.
When we think about LiDAR technology the scanning system can use low-power lasers that don't harm objects, when they are in a surveillance mode. But if the system detects hostile targets that laser system can increase its power. And then it can cut the wing off from the aircraft.
